There are many things the cast of Hamilton have in common with your favorite sports team — speed, agility, the ability to perform when the spotlight’s on them — so it’s not completely out of left field that ESPN kicked off its Upfront presentation Tuesday morning with a performance by two of the show’s stars.

Tony nominees Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs opened the show — themed “ESPN @ The Speed of Live” — with an original piece of music.

“Run, as fast as you can, while you can. Jump, as high as you can, while you can,” the track began, gradually leading into a chorus that asked, “Why let the sky be your limit? Isn’t there something higher, babe? Get higher, babe. You’re the stuff of comets, don’t you let them dim your fire, baby.”
