ABC fall trailers: 'Designated Survivor,''Conviction,''Notorious,' more

ABC has released trailers for its new fall TV shows, including Kiefer Sutherland drama Designated Survivor, Hayley Atwell’s Conviction , and new comedy American Housewife. Check out the trailers below and see ABC’s new schedule here. (You can also find the NBC trailers here and Fox trailers here.)

Designated Survivor (Wednesdays, 10 p.m. ET)
Kiefer Sutherland stars in this conspiracy thriller as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who unexpectedly becomes president after a devastating attack on Washington. He will struggle to prevent the country and his own family from falling into chaos, as he is thrust into one of the most difficult presidencies in history. Natascha McElhone, Maggie Q, Kal Penn, Adan Canto, Italia Ricci, LaMonica Garrett, and Tanner Buchanan also star. David Guggenheim will write and executive-produce with Sutherland, Simon Kinberg, Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper, Suzan Bymel, and Aditya Sood.

Conviction (Mondays, 10 p.m. ET)
Lawyer and former First Daughter Hayes Morrison (Hayley Atwell) is about to accept a job offered from her sexy nemesis, NY District Attorney Wayne Wallis (Eddie Cahill), to avoid jail time for cocaine possession and avoid hurting her mother’s Senate campaign. Working with his team at the new Conviction Integrity Unit will let her use her brilliant mind to turn over cases, where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction, and give her a chance to turn things around with her high-powered political family. Shawn Ashmore, Merrin Dungey, Emily Kinney, Manny Montana and Daniel di Tomasso also star. Liz Friedman will write and executive-produce with Mark Gordon, Nicholas Pepper, and Liz Friedlander.

Notorious (Thursdays, 9 p.m. ET)
Inspired by the true-life stories of criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker, Notorious is a provocative look at the unique, sexy, and dangerous interplay of criminal law and the media. Piper Perabo, Aimee Teegarden, Daniel Sunjata, Sepideh Moafi, Kate Jennings Grant, Ryan Guzman, Kevin Zegers, and J. August Richards star. Josh Berman and Allie Hagan will write and executive-produce.

American Housewife (Tuesdays, 8:30 p.m. ET)
Katie Otto (Katy Mixon), a confident, unapologetic wife and mother of three, raises her flawed family in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with “perfect” mommies and their “perfect” offspring. Diedrich Bader, Johnny Sequoyah, Daniel DiMaggio, Julia Butters, Carly Hughes and Ali Wong also star. Sarah Dunn will write and executive-produce with Aaron Kaplan, Rick Weiner and Kenny Schwartz.

Speechless (Wednesdays, 8:30 p.m. ET)
Maya DiMeo (Minnie Driver) is a mom on a mission who will do anything for her husband, Jimmy (John Ross Bowie), and kids Ray (Mason Cook), Dylan (Kyle Kenedy), and JJ (Micah Fowler), her eldest son with special needs. As Maya fights injustices both real and imagined, the family works to make a new home for themselves and searches for just the right person to give JJ his “voice.” Cedric Yarbrough also stars. Scott Silveri will write and executive-produce with Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar.

Still Star-Crossed (Midseason)
A period drama from Shondaland that picks up where the famous story of Romeo and Juliet ends, charting the treachery, palace intrigue and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. Wade Briggs, Anthony Head, Zuleikha Robinson, Lashana Lynch, Ebonee Noel, Sterling Sulieman, Medalion Rahimi, Grant Bowler, Susan Wooldridge, Torrance Coombs and Dan Hildebrand star. Heather Mitchell will write and executive-produce with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Michael Offer, and Michael Goldstein.

Time After Time (Midseason)
Based on the novel and movie of the same name, Time After Time is a cat and mouse adventure through time, where famed science fiction writer H.G. Wells (Freddie Stroma) is transported to modern day Manhattan in pursuit of Jack the Ripper (Josh Bowman). Once H.G. arrives in New York City, he finds a world he never thought possible and a young woman who captivates him.  Genesis Rodriguez and Regina Taylor also star. Kevin Williamson will write and executive-produce with Marcos Siega.

Downward Dog (Midseason)
Based on the web series, Downward Dog is about a struggling millennial, Nan (Allison Tolman), from the point of view of her lonely and philosophical dog, Martin (voiced by Samm Hodges). One session at obedience school already makes them realize that even at their worst they may be the best thing for each other. Lucas Neff, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Barry Rothbart and Mo Collins also star. Hodges and Michael Killen will write and executive-produce with Jimmy Miller, Sam Hansen and Kathy Dziubek.

Imaginary Mary (Midseason)
A live-action/CGI series starring Dharma & Greg vet Jenna Elfman as an independent career woman who falls in love with a divorced father of three. The dramatic change in her life gets even more interesting when the “slightly unhinged” imaginary childhood friend suddenly resurfaces to guide her through this critical juncture. The CGI imaginary friend will be voiced by SNL alum Rachel Dratch. Mary also stars Stephen Schneider, Nicholas Coombe, Matreya Scarrwener, and Erica Trembay. The Goldbergs’ Adam F. Goldberg and David Guarascio will write and executive-produce with Shawn Levy.
